Shipping & Returns Policy

International Shipping

Shipping rates will vary depending on the size of your parcel and on delivery country and will be added to your order cost at the time of purchase.  We strive to keep our shipping rates as low as possible, and offer reduced shipping rates on multiple item orders. Thank you for considering a purchase at Kontu. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Kontu is currently available to be shipped to addresses in the United States, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and New Zealand. We have plans to expand shipping in 2020.

Please note that orders other than to the U.S. are subject to the receiving country's import fees, duty, taxes and/or brokerage fees. These funds are paid to and set by your home country's government as per import/export regulations and charged by your local postal carrier so we have no control over these costs nor are they paid to Kontu.

We are not responsible for any duty/import/taxes/customs/etc charges you may incur.

Returns

If you are not happy with your Kontu set once it arrives, you may return your purchase within 30 days of receipt of your shipment. 

Returns must arrive in completely unused and resellable condition. If an item is received and is not in resellable condition, the cost of the item will not be refunded.

If you’d like to return an item, please email us at returns@kontukids.com and include the following details:

  • Your full name
  • The email you used when you purchased the product
  • The product name (K25, K15 etc.)
  • The reason for your return

We will then send you return instructions.

Note that we can not refund you for lost/unclaimed/undeliverable packages.

Defective Goods

If your product arrived damaged or you believe it to be faulty, please stop your child from playing with the product and remove it from their reach. Take a photo of the product showing the defect and contact us immediately. We will help determine the next step, which might include shipping the product back to us for a refund or replacement. 

You MUST send us a photo of the defective product prior to shipping it back to us.

We do not accept returns for cosmetic reasons after the 30-day guarantee. Our products are made of natural wood and variations in texture, grain, or color are normal.

Receiving a Refund

A refund will be issued once we have received your returned items. Any items that are damaged when we receive them are not eligible for refund. Refunds do not include any shipping or handling charges, except in the case of defective goods. Your refund will be credited to the original form of payment used for the original transaction. Please note that credit card refunds may take up to 10 business days to complete, depending on your bank’s processing times.

Returning an item with your own label is at your own risk. You must ensure that the item is adequately packaged and, at your option and cost, insured. We are not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging or if the item is damaged or lost while being returned to us. With the exception of defective goods, items that are damaged when we receive them will not be eligible for refund.
